These I shot to motivate our Annie into using her DIY basn diffuser..........because the evenings remain quite cold, there is a dearth of creepy-crawlies in my garden...soo, I have to resort to my usual turning over of logs or leaves to say hello to my friendly Woodlice.

 

I have discovered that the diffuser is much improved for Macro work if the top quadrant of the inside is lined with shiny cooking foil...this directs a stronger but broken beam of light onto the main subject whilst still retaining the overall softness elsewhere:
