Computer Advice Needed

I'm seeing an odd problem and wondered if anyone had any advice. A couple of weeks ago, Photoshop CC wouldn't always open up from Bridge except after several tries. It was also slow to close down from Adobe Raw. The problem now seems to have moved in that it now opens fairly readily from Bridge and closes immediately from Adobe RAW but once the PS screen has opened, there is now a delay affecting the RHS menus, the histogram in particular. It can take about 30 secs to fully write the screen. I've no doubt that things will revert at some stage because I have come across these cyclic problems before. My best guess is that its a memory problem which depends on how PS CC is using memory at any given time but before I start down the track of a lengthy MemTest cycle (32GB of memory), I thought I would ask the question. Anyone any ideas?
