A great shot Kev.......

I have always been fascinated by gliders, since witnessing part of that  all important D-Day Armada during WWII ......They left a huge impression on my young mind.

During the post-war years, we used to see the civilian type from nearby Coventry ( Bagington) Airfield, until Birmingham developed into an `International airport.

I also used to drive regularly past an Oxfordshire gliding club, with quite a few gliders in the air at a time.

Nowadays......we get the very occasional Powered Glider, daredevil Ultra-Light aircraft, with parachute-like wings.....noisy little beggars, and, until the Royal-Show finished .....Hot-Air-Balloons were regular attractions at the end of each day, when a race was held.

Dont like flying......but Love aircraft.
