Forth rail bridge

God I absolutely love this bridge ... That's a fine view of it there Alan.  I saw it half a dozen times last year on a trip up to Scotland ...  one of the highlights of my week. The History of the briggers  who built this bridge  between 1883 and 1890  is an incredible story . There were at least 57 deaths of construction workers during that  time, possibly more ,  and in 2005 a committee was formed to campaign for a monument at each end of the  bridge  to commemorate those who lost their lives whilst building it ..

Some interesting facts ,,
