Silly little trivium about 127 film which occurred to me after posting the images: the area of the classic 4x4cm 127 frame is actually slightly larger than the "standard" digital medium format frame of 44x33 mm.

Hi..

Not sure if its the website, or scanner you use, but for my screen its very white, 

2nd image much better, and for composition..

I Calibrate Screen Monthly, so maybe I am seeing the Whites a lot harsher ????

I love the imperfections in both shots, it really adds to the depth

Usual problem I think. If I judge an image by eye rather than the histogram, that does happen as my monitor is placed quite high, and it darkens very fast below the centreline.

This is the histogram as posted originally, and the tone curve.

After pulling the middle control point right, and the black point to the left, I get:
