The quiet storm

A little less OTT on the edit of this. I totally am in love with Chevvy Belairs. If I could afford one I would love one. When I went to NYC during my degree, I was so disappointed that all the taxis were now crown vic's and not chevvies. I still had a vision of the series Taxi when the sunshine cab company drove Belairs to the sound of Bob James " Angeline" (showing my age now) but hey ho... its the 21st century now and sadly they have all gone as taxis. Hope you like anyway. feel free to give me CC if you dont. Its all part of the learning process.

Coo oh I love Bob James ...  Went to see him at Warwick uni gig a few years ago .. Fantastic pianist.  Played on Grover Washington's Mister Magic  I think too ... Sorry ...  Digressing a bit ... I worked in New York for a while and drove an old seventies Chevy for  six months ... The sound still resonates ... ;)

I agree about the wheels too. It was the one thing about the car- including the red disk brake calipers that I thought looked " wrong" but the car was gorgeous even with them. I cant explain why I love the Belair so much but I know when I've watched Fast and Loud and stuff such as wheeler dealers and seen where they find a shed of a Belair, you always know that its going to become a beautiful piece of automotive art.

Clicker ( when I've been on here long enough I'll learn folks real names)  sounds like just like me you are a soul/ jazz fan. Many years ago I was a DJ who played classic american soul and Jazz, jazz funk. I've always liked Bob James and the theme tune to Taxi always has a special place in my heart.

thanks very much again for the comments. they are and always will be very much appreciated.
