You are right in some ways Fuzzy......but.....

It is alway difficult to know where to crop a hat wearing subject, especially if the study has been taken, ad-hoc instead of in a studio or in a posing situation.

A candid, or Street Portrait.....is just that.......as is......no frills or prep.....just.....see, then shoot.......so the character shines through as clearly demonstrated here.

I cant quite agree with shoot and publish I still think post work is usually needed to present the best image possible

Compose in the lens to the best shot you have and then do the best with that after
