During another half day shoot in Coventry today I took this especially for our Kev, and for anyone else who doesn't know of the Coventry Cathedrals.

This study show exactly how the Architect the late Sir Basil Spence, cleverly solved the problem of leaving the Blitzed Ruins of the Old Coventry Cathedral in place as a memorial to the hundreds of Citizens who lost their lives, as a permanent reminder of the evils of War also as a lasting symbol of peace and Forgiveness.

On the left you can see the Ruins as featured in my shot of a few weeks ago....in the centre you can see how the Great Porch joins the old to the new....venture up those steps and you are faced with a Clear glass Screen engraved with Angels and Saints.....a viewer can see the amazing biggest Tapestry in the World featuring Christ in Majesty,

Also featured here is the beautiful and thought provoking sculpture of St Peter and The Devil by Jacob Epstein.

Everyone should visit these wonderful buildings at some point in their lives...they are truly awe inspiring:
