Chinnor, Bank Holiday

Finally took a few hours on a wet Saturday to get the films I shot on the Bank Holiday scanned.

London Transport L92 0-6-0PT at the Hempton Wainhill crossing.

And three views on Chinnor Post Mill (one of very few windmills round here -- Berkshire next door has none!). Currently being restored with the ultimate goal of being able to grind with it.

It's very unusual for a post mill to have three cross beams and six feet rather than two and four.

The loco was on TMAX400, developed in Tmax developer, while the mill was on Fomapan 200 developed in Rodinal. First time I've tried Fomapan -- I rather like it.

Nice set of what look's like a good day out.

Rodinal was my favourite developer when I developed and printed my own black and white film it made a great combination with Agfapan APX and Neopan film my staple diet after trying most combinations and if diluted 50-1 or 100-1 the edge acutance was really good and did not introduce to much grain in Neopan 100 and 400.

Not sure what you are scanning your negs with but they look a little soft to me.

I'm using VueScan on a Canon 9000F MKII -- which seemed to be the best option if I wanted to be able to do medium format as well as 35mm.

The brake wheel is not quite focussed (or there was a little camera shake) but I felt I had to process it all the way through as the fellow leading the restoration opened up the top floor and opened the back shutter so that I could take the picture.
