LITTLE WOOD

What might surprise you about this shot, is my title, because it looks as if it was taken inside a deep hilly forest somewhere.

Nope!.....Within 100 yards of our back gate are the outer defences to the castle, a very steep moat with 45 degree clay banks, now, covered in small trees, interspersed with magnificent mature Beech Trees.......

The wooded area is no longer than 300 feet, and is currently very dark owing to lush summer foliage....to locals, it is known as..Little Wood.....the name I gave my small business:

This shot was taken at the far end, as that deep moat turns right towards the Castle, which had a complicated water dfence system and at least one water mil.

It does indeed look like the interior of a large and dense forest.
