After a cab ride across London to St Pancras ...a long day ended in Paris and we made our way across to Gare de Lyon  and stayed overnight at the Hotel   Mercurewhich is next to the station .  This was taken after we'd had a super  supper in a Bistro just opposite  the  station ...erm the clock  tells you the hour ... At least we didn't have to walk  far next morning to catch the 9 30 train to Nice... 

'Course I heard every train announcement from the station tannoy, in our bedroom  right up till 2.30  am .. Thoughtfully they woke us up as the 5.30  train departed too !:lol:

 The steps lead up to    Le Train Bleu ... a beautiful  Art Nouveau  styled  restaurant that was stunning inside .

Thank you gentlemen for your   kind remarks .... I just was so enamoured with this station .... Unfortunately we were so pushed for time arriving at St Pancras for the Eurostar that I didn't have time to  get some photos  there ....it too is a beautiful looking station ...  I'll have to add it to my list  of things I want to  photograph !!
