A finger post and a field ...

A mono conversion seemed appropriate .....  i did toy with  turning the post  to point in ....!

I like the lead in lines to the valley beyond......and turning the signpost round is the sort of thing I get into trouble with in our local Group. Very nice image.

Beautiful rural scene Clicker, lovely composition making the most of the natural leading lines,--- as for the sign post, unless you can move it over to the left of the picture where the cow parsley is I would levee well alone,

Thank  you Geoff and Brian ... ... I 'm  still very tempted regarding the fingerpost though .... maybe  when I have nothing else to do ...erm ... yeah as if that ever happens ... but ...  it would look better wouldn't it ? It really would

A lovely scene and those lines really do lead you in. I think it would be better with the post moved, would be tempted if it were mine.

It does need something there though, Polly - maybe have a fiddle with it turning slightly more around but not pointing the other way.

Polly, looking at this again, I think it would still be a lovely scene with the post and cow parsley removed.

I think the mono takes away some punch. I'm itching to see summer colours. Composition is spot on however.

Thanks Chrissie .If I post the colour  you'll  see why I converted to mono ...  When I get on my desktop  I 'll post it ... it wasn't Summer...the clue is the trees and the stubble

Go for it, Polly but for my money..............stick with the mono and I'm looking forward to seeing the signpost facing the other way. Or even better pointing toward the valley beyond, along the harvesting lines.
