Bewdley's Georgian townhouses seen from Telford's Bridge  built in 1798 .... Since the new flood defences in 2006   they seem to have been safe following  years of being inundated regularly  by the River Severn.56d8f25f6a8dd_BewdleyRIVERSIDE1s.thumb.j

Stereotypical Georgian England. Lovely image and reminds me of the Georgian houses on Blackheath (London). I'm surprised at you, Polly, not doing a bit more with the sky! Or did you want to keep the desaturated look?

Now I thought on the full size version  it looked. like enough detail was  retrieved in the sky ... it was over exposed a bit on the far  right  though ... here is another version then . ... pulled some more definition  out in the sky   but  don't really want too much to detract from the  buildings which are the focus for me...  comments welcome peeps ... and any edits too.56da52b99bd54_BewdleyRIVERSIDE4revs.thum

I was ok with the original Polly and I agree with your comment above. Also I like big skys so again not a problem, I don't think it needs cropping.

Funny innit how we all see things differently but then it would be boring if we all saw the same.

Ditto Ron's post, much prefer the original. Only crop I see would be far right to get rid of the half building and 1st roof and personally I am not a fan of borders on screen.

Through and past Bewdley twice yesterday!, Had a coffee n cake at Hopley's farm shop. Worth a visit if you have never been.

I like that you have kept the colour subdued and there is plenty of detail in the sky for me. Its a lovely shot

Thank you all for your suggestions and comments ... It's always interesting to see various opinion and at the end of the day ...there's no right or wrong way to edit one's images .. Just the way that pleases you most.  JH ... I think I would consider cropping a lot of sky if I wanted a panoramic format ... That would work for me..I quite like that idea. Again .. Appreciate your input everyone ....it all helps to formulate  my decision making ...  Something I can't make my mind up about !
