I thought I'd share a couple of photos from our recent camping trip in the bush. I realise that milky water is a dirty word among some, so I've kept the milk to just a dash.

Nice shots - particularly enjoyed the first.

I'm a fan of milky water and this has just the right amount of blur to detail ratio, love how the trees have blurred too.

There's "milk" and there's motion blur! Your 'dash of milk' is motion blur and is just how it should be!!! (IMO). And I believe that's what BP is talking about with 'blur to detail ratio'. Actual "milk" as such, is where all motion has been "whited out" into a solid frozen curtain - no motion at all. [/rant]

Those both work for me, Brian. Nicely photographed, nicely processed and nicely presented. Good stuff!

Seems like you've gained some serious processing skills while you've been away.

Thanks Korky. I must admit that I almost enjoy the Post process as much as the getting about shutter clicking. After a computer change and my dodgy copy of CS6 wouldn't work any more, I subscribed to Adobe for $10 a month and get all the post tools I need and it's wonderful. I also follow (and save) most of the You Tubes from Anthony Morganti and Serge Ramelli, two blokes with contrasting styles but some great info. But there's so much to learn.
