Jpeg Test

I've not shot Jpeg for years but after a conversation with BP I thought I'd give it a go. It's Bella's christening this weekend and I'm considering shooting the entire event Jpeg, not really sure I have the nerve

These were shot with the X-T1's MONOCHROME+G film effect.

I've spoken to quite a few Fuji X shooters, spent hours online and had a bit of a play with the files myself - as far as I can tell the in-camera processing is so good its worth just trusting it. ACR and LR will treat a JPEG and RAW file in a similar way with only the WB being fundamentally (under the skin) different.

I will certainly experiment with the 'film' modes when I get mine and as I shoot a LOT of my images on the iPhone and get good results I can't see a problem with using what the camera can offer.

Even my humble X30 has the different film modes and I've had some very pleasing results.

A christening is possibly not the event to start getting experimental, but you can always shoot in RAW + Fine JPEG just to see how the the JPEGs turn out.
