There's a very interesting pattern in the water ripples - nicely observed. I find the background a bit distracting, but short of processing it in some way I'm not sure what you could do about that.

Oop sorry Ann Marie  just teasin' our Mr Lumix. Nice to  see  you posting some images ...it's always a bit daunting when you first  put your toe in the water on a new forum ....( Oooer no pun intended ... )

I couldn't wait to get 30 posts under my belt when I joined so that i was then able to edit anything i said or posted , mainly because I am a shocking typist  and i Invariably hit "Submit reply"before I've checked for typos ...or worse predictive text blunders when I'm using my ipad !

Welcome  to the  Forum anyway ... I can see what you are trying to achieve I think  but I agree with Chris a bit ... I  think either   go in very close  or pull out more,  as you have in this  version  to  make the bucket and chain more important to the composition with ripples being a focus ... I think I would avoid the chain being centre shot  and position in  the right hand quadrant . I prefer this one to the  closer one  though as  I don't think  for me the other one is close enough ... Does that make sense ...  Just an opinion though ... one thing's for sure ... You've had a lorra rain !
