Right .... now tell us how you got into that position to take that ! You look as if you are exactly overhead ...  I presume  you weren't as close as it appears you are !

How did I get this shot? This was taken in a very large and natural show pool at the Nausicaa Aquarium in Boulogne sur Mer. I had the camera set up in manual at a suitable shutter speed with iso set to auto. I was basically ready for the shot. I saw the sea lion coming my way. I was leaning over the the fence and about 4 foot above the water level. As the animal passed almost below my camera he opened his mouth so. I pre-selected a single focus point in anticipation of the shot with the focus on the tongue for this one. A little preparation and readiness combined with some good look bagged the shot.

Many thanks Chrissy.

Nice Kev, thinking outside the box.:)

Appreciated Paul.

I do like it when people tell us about things like this and it gives so much more to the whole history of a photo ... Well done Kev ... just proves that a bit of anticipation can seal the deal ....arghhhh

The latter looks like he's smiling the smug smile of ..."bet ya didn't get that did ya?" ... But you did Kev!;)
