That's interesting Fuzzy ... The Sky was  incredibly flat yesterday ...in fact I overheard two photographers,(  ten minutes after this was taken when I was getting shots in the lavender fields ), comparing notes on just how  the sky was being blown really easily .. I did actually  pull a lot back but  stopped shy of maybe any more in case it was  OTT ... Always difficult knowing when to stop ...even with histogram  ..

.I'll give it a go...;) Not easy to see much difference ....:ermm:

I probably have about a dozen edits  lol .. The more I play the harder it is to make a choice of which I like best ... It's one of those pics you can do so many variations on ...  Thank Fuzzy ... That looks good too .I don't usually do a crop that divides a scene in half but I didn't  want to lose too much of the openess that was experienced being so high up on the escarpment  ..  I'll  try a crop reducing the sky by about a third ... :)  On my iPad at the moment so will try it later thanks  for the suggestions guys  ;) Appreciate the time  you've spent ...

Ooh posts crossed Jude .... Like that too ... Thanks  x

My fiddle is on the left and your original is on the right, I may have overdone the sky I dont know, I like turner skies

I didnt think losing any sky was going to enhance the image but thats another choice I am with you on the openness being a big part of the image

Doh ...Couldn't sleep ...so here I am again...Thanks Judy ..I  can see where you're coming from... I prefer that crop to the sky being reduced I think ... you can play forever can't ya ? I 'd like to see your Flodden Memorial pic when you've finished it ...It has been many years  since I saw the Memorial ... Do the Coldstream Guards still gallop up the hill on the anniversary of the battle each year ...? tnt

Thanks for your  input ...and Fuzzy ... always good to see another point of view ....:yes
