Likewise Kev... there are those who frown  upon it ... though I cannot understand why .  I love the fact that digital photography and post processing allows me to do what I couldn't afford to do in the film and darkroom era....

Nicely composed image  Tina ...   For me I would take the dark vignetting back a bit so it doesn't completely burn the detail in the corners ... but that's just my preference ..I do love monochrome though .

The updated one has a lot more in it, Chris. I think it's one of the best edititing programs that you can get, as is LightZone, which is on similar lines to Lightroom, except that you don't have to pay for either.

It's not as dark on my large screen, but the upload on here looks a lot darker, but it was meant to be dark, as if someone was looking from inside a cluster of trees.
Either way, the edit was just for fun.

Well it works then  ...that is how it comes across ... Doh ...trust me  to get it wrong ...;)

I find too that  images  don't always look the same on my iPad as they do on my desktop or laptop sometimes...  It can make editing for printing  a bit tiresome sometimes ...

Did you go  over the style by the way Tina ?

No. not that time, but I have been over it before and across the field.
I haven't tried going over a style since having the knee replacement last year.
 I must give it a try next time we go.
It leads into a field next to the fishing lakes a train or bus ride away from us.

Oooh well  just be careful...  I suspect  a new knee must be  making  life easier than it was ... One's mobility is a precious asset ...easlily taken for granted I know .:)

Johns arthritis is quite bad in his knees and hips now as well, so I don't really do things if he can't manage them when we are out together, but I think I would manage quite well now as went up the small step ladders last week and can do more and more as time goes on.
It's great to be without the pain and  my knee giving way under me though.

I had pain  in my other knee and hips due to the way that I was limping around before the op and that is so much better too.
I still have tissue soreness, but that will take time.

I would advise anyone to have the op if offered. It's made a big difference to my life.

I'm 71 and can't say that I am too bad for my age.
There are people who have to cope with a lot more pain and disability and I really feel for them.
