Brimham Rocks  Richard. It's National Trust  in the Dales ... Between Ripon and Pately Bridge.  Ryewolf went there  a couple of weeks ago too .

The shady walk pic was taken there too ... I took hundreds of photos of the rock formations  that are spectacular...  Worth a visit if you are in the area.

Evenin'  Squire...  I spent a few years in the Dales ...age 15 many moons ago .... lived in Richmond , Swaledale and met my hubby there on the school bus!

Couldn't decide if I preferred this  in Mono... I think it travelled quite well   but .... the Dales maybe should be in colour ...  not sure..Whaddya think?

I'd driven past  Brimham Rocks numerous times  but hadn't realised how many there were till I read up on it a few years ago ... I hope to get there one day for the sunrise ...

..Fat chance !!

OK Polly I had better come clean, as a Yorkshire lad I have to admit that I had never heard of Brimham Rocks until someone posted pics here a while back.

I thought I knew most of Yorkshire but this past me by.

Ron

It is pretty spectacular ... but once the car park is full on a weekend especially ... you cant park anywhere else eg on the roadside  (£5 stay for a 4 hr stay  and that's enough to walk and picnic ) so you may be directed to Pately Bridge  for a little while   to return later .. .. I think dogs go for free ...lol

I think he's barking, " I am saying cheese !"

Thanks Phon...:smiling:It's always a  challenge getting the tones  in monochromes right when most of the colours are the same ( green foliage especially )  I think I prefer the colour too...
