ISO right up so noise is deliberate to ensure a gritty mono study...This chap has the look of Marlon Brando?...........about him:

not sure about this one Fuji, liking the chap but the cigarette looks too bleached out making it look as if its been photo-shopped in later, I know you haven't but it just looks like that ?

This comment has been made on my mono forum.......two things com to mind...

......ISO was sky high and it was a very sunny day, so the ciggy would bleach out.....or......When I converted then tickled the pic in CS3 and TOPAZ Filters it might have been overcooked.

It is amazing hat you can miss, after an hour of processing.......I will return to my full size version to see if I can bring it back down.

i agree the cigarette looks bleached out, but somehow it suits the image ... i really like this one Fuji :)

The second version looks more realistic, but the bleached out cigarette still has an impact on the pic, so I have to say that I like both, but with the second being more authentic to days gone by.
