Had a few days off over the kids half term and while I've taken my 'proper' camera with me every day I've still been using the iPhone.

This is St Paul's at Jarrow showing some of the older buildings still standing in the grounds of the current church - dates back to AD681and is associated with The Venerable Bede.

Bit of fun with technology - mounted the iPhone 6 on my Gorillapod using a GripTight mount and triggered it with the remote function on my Apple Watch Sport.

Robin........Your photo diaries are fascinating, not only for the pics but for the snippets of history and the beauty of your environment, tied in with a very obvious love for your family and family life...........the latter shines through in your last shot......one to be treasured:
