We now have three resident robins in the garden, this poor fella was in a bad way and skin and bones but is lot better now after a diet of mealworms for a few days.

Yes.....great detail, well done you.

Those injuries may have been caused by another Robin....they are extremely territorial and will fight to the death, or suffer the cosequnces like this one.

​Probably another Robin Judy I doubt he would have survived a cat.

​Thank you Fuji and indeed they are but only in the mating season after that they will share their territory to feed their young.
