SOMETHING LEARNED TODAY...PHOTO TRANSFER

In helping a mate, who requested help in transferring photo folders from PC to Tablet we both learned something today.....it may be old hat to some, but will be extremely useful to others wanting to do the same?
At first I suggested emailing pics a few at a time to himself.....yes! ..it works, but is cumbersome  and slow.
Then I remembered that I had downloaded the Free Photo managing software ...PICASA...onto his laptop.

If you already have it, you will know that it makes a fantastic job of sorting every photo folder on you PC AUTOMATICALLY in date order, with slideshow, editing and much more.
We were both amazed to discover that I could click the SHARE button after highlighting chosen pics, or a whole folder, then choose EMAIL........SEVENTY TWO photographs were transferred via email from there seamlessly and quickly...

BRILLIANT!

You've got me there BP.........I know that it wasn't an iPad, but one of the much smaller cheapy  tablets..

but, I do know that I can email up to four pics to my iPad.....from PC.

i will give the recently updated  PICASA another try from my PC  to my iPad later......it was the Picasa SHARE button that worked after selecting a whole folder., after we experimented with four frames.

Addendum:

 

Hi BP ......You will know by now that I have managed to email the contents of a small PICASA Folder to you, the same mail and attachment opened on my iPad no problems.

I did note that on my mates Windows 7 Laptop PICASA had just a SHARE button....on my XP Pro Desktop it has a SHARE with Google one.....so there s a difference.

I will see now if PICASA will forward a 40 pic folder from Desktop to iPad.

Picasa works on my cheapy small tablet and also my Asus, as well as an Archos tablet.
