I had a volunteer for a few portraits today,

she's my friends daughter, it does help with such a nice looking and very photogenic model..... all straight from camera opinions on my camera skills please

Pin sharp, and I'm personally very happy with the poses. Just need to get those editing skills honed now :yes

Oh yeah, I've removed the external links

you have seen my facebook!....  and I had no idea I had put external links in?

thanks for the comment :)

I really like the second portrait - she's not front-on to the camera, so there's a story there. The first shot is a bit full on, (though well exposed)?

few people on facebook have said the 2nd is the better one, Fiona has put the 1st as her profile picture, i need to get used to telling people what pose I want, my mind goes blank when they are there in front of me... maybe a tad of nerves, god knows why, not as if I'm shy or anything?

I agree with Chris about the 1st picture and I would have prefered hands out of pockets on the 2nd due to the dark clothing it looks like her hand has been amputated  - BUT two very enjoyable images to look at and both show improvement on your photo skills.

Both well focussed......

I think that the second one is best because it is a much better pose........for me........I would crop off the LH side and the bottom if you intend it as a Portrait.....

as it is, it is more like a .....Fashion Shoot, emphasising the coat as much as your attractive subject.

Ha! Well, of course I'll have to change my mind now...

No don't do that Chris i agree with you...mind you the punters (none photographers) always choose the ones you think are the worst.:secret:

Yes - my response was an ironic "Facebook? Well, they're all experts there"!
