DOME TREE

No!

It's not a Lone Tree

There are others close by...........it does have a particularly attractive Dome shape that has often attracted my Photographer's eye....thing is, it is right at the edge of quite a busy road and on a hill, so to frame it I needed to lean far over the wooden fence.

Any where else, I would have to  include a doggy bin and a line of parked cars.

This is truly a......make sure you get it right in the viewfinder shot....no cropping.......as taken:

The Lone Tree Regulations 1948 - Section 12, Paragraph 26 clearly state that....

A tree may not be classed as 'lone' if it is sited within 18ft of another tree, fence, metalled roadway, lay-by or parked vehicle.

You're right, Fooj - this doesn't qualify. However....

I can see Paul's point, it is a busy composition, but can't help wondering if a square crop (to get rid of the branches on the left) might help.

You are right PaulT,

'Tis a great pity that the tree isn't further into the field, I had to lean right over the fence to get what I have in frame.......Sad to say, that a private chainsaw vs trees in a Conservation Area is a No-No.
