How much for hiring a professional pregnancy photographer?

I'm going to hire this pregnancy photographer Berkshire a few weeks from now, and I am very excited with how the session will go down! I have everything prepared, from the location to the props, but I just want to clarify the best price for such a service? What's the limit for this, and when can we say that the photographer is asking too much?

Hello Freya,

As far as I know all members of TIPF are very keen amateurs.... so won’t be able to answer your question....If any of our members are interested I’m sure they will be in touch .

You obviously need to consider what the minimum National wage is, then go from there.... I would imaging that a shoot like you are planning might take at the very least half a day... so allow five hours. Plus travel and insurance, plus materials and profit.

A better site on which to ask your question is the international....EPHOTOZINE... where members are a complete mix if navy ends to highly professional... just log on, to ask your questions there; you should receive a reply pretty quickly.

I feel this is a how long is a piece string question, photography like your seeking comes under a creative banner not just a point the camera and shoot. One photographer may consider his ability and creativity worth £50 another £1000, its not like researching prices for a car services.

Please don't take this as a put down, i understand your reasons for asking, its just how i see it.

You might find this site helpful.  There is no direct comparison to your question but the fees guide should give you some idea of what individual photographers might charge.  The guide is primarily for the London area so you might factor the data down slightly for your locality if you are elsewhere.  It's a good starting point for negotiation anyway.
