There were 16 ducklings in this brood of Mallards  on our pond a few summers ago    and as you can see ... one little one is all yellow ......a recessive gene maybe from the past ....

………...it's in the genes .... or not as the case may be.  I love the way ducklings cuddle up to mum.  I've often watched them at a place that Rye and I know well, Dunsop Bridge.  Nothing is said but when mum puts her head down, everyone gathers round and  joins in.

They nest in the courtyard garden and we have to open the wooden gate  so that they can follow Mum 70 yards down to the pond in the front garden ... She quacks every year r to let us know that they have  all hatched and are ready  for their inaugural swim !

No probs.  I copied your title, then selected the default size and font and didn't notice the problem.

Happens a lot with cut or copy and paste unless you remove the formatting on here ... took me ages to realise that ! lol
