Canal at Hebden Bridge - SOC

Recommended Posts

I took this shot last Aug using my Canon 100D (a fairly cheap APSC DSLR and the Sigma 30mm f1.4 Art Lens)

Settings f11, 1/250th, iso200, -2/3rds ev, taken as a jpeg. This is pretty much straight out of camera, I did a small crop - less than 200 pixels on the longest length to accommodate a slight rotation of the image.

I enjoy trying to get sooc Rye.  Not too worried about it though as it’s the end result that matters.  I just find it a good challenge.  Helps to learn what’s going on in the camera too.

Thanks Kev, it's a scene I always photograph whenever I go to Hebden Bridge. When I first got my DSLR the only image software I had was a very old version of Paint Shop Pro 7 so the only manipulation I did was a bit of playing around with brightness and contrast and I was still using the camera on fully automatic mode.
