The smoking tyre and the angle of the front wheels give a good sense of action. The crop gives a nice composition but the image does look a little soft and the image could do with a bit of a lift? Only my opinion though.

ahh.... that be the thick fog!  

you can see with this one when they got closer we could see the cars :)

I thought kev's comment on the first shot was spot on - so Colin's edit really makes it 'jump and pop'. Good work all round.

The second shot is superbly panned, but I feel a bit flat about it - I think it's because the driver looks so laid-back (leaning back with one hand on the wheel) so any tension is gone. Not the photographer's fault of course!
