  1. Ok its getting close. Geodar & ryewolf are you booking the 12.00 mid day trip to Inner Farne with Billy Shiel's? Where shall we meet and recognise one another?
  2. Ok. I'm with Hayes parson's Ltd. Market traders insurance. £45.50 for a year. £10mm or £5m if a claim is in respect of an act of terrorism
  3. I didnt pay much but mine was for craft fares and market stalls. Will dig it out and get the companies name for you. Im sure it was under £50 for £5 million cover for a year
  4. Weekly Challenge #2 theme - Wildlife Images must be taken between now and Friday 12th June. Entries may be submitted on the 13th, 14th and 15th of June, voting will begin on Tuesday 16h June. Please see the How It Works topic for a full explanation. Please post in the Admin Area if you have any questions.
  5. Me too! Cassie (my Camera...Cassie Canon) doesn't like even a spot of rain!
  6. Have checked the weather on 2 websites. No rain so that's good.
  7. Haha a red carnation on my waterproof jacket! Lovely. Hmmmmm I will get my thinking caps on.
  8. Champion...geodar is that ok for you? We can either meet at the booking office, in the car park or in a coffee shopshop. What if weather is pants?
  9. Haha sounds fun. Had email from national trust. They said puffin numbers are at their peek. The 1st eggs hatched last week. He recommends tip to inner farne as closest access to puffins. Not sure I can do the longer trip as we have decided not to stay over so need to drive both ways. The trips are at 12, 1, 2 and 3 pm. The 12 midday be best for me but what about everyone else? Once we have the boat trip decided we can book the tickets. Let me know if the 2.5 hour inner farne trip suits all
  10. Well if we plan in advance next year we might have a bigger crowd but then again this year may be a disaster......
  11. You are in for a treat. The Northumberland coast is stunning. You must visit Alnwick castle gardens, holy island and dunstanburgh castle
  12. i expect to see puffins, cormorants, shags, terns, seals, guillemots and kittiwakes. I'm excited. Hubby and me are considering an overnight stay on Saturday. Awaiting a response on availability and cost.
  13. OK have emailed national trust. Awaiting their reply re puffin activity. Hope its not too early. A few tips. Wear a hat. The Arctic terns will dive bomb you as they are nesting. Pretty scary the 1st time. Secondly, bring a cloth to wipe and protect camera and lens from salty sea spray. Bigger lenses are better but a smaller one can still capture great pics. Thirdly you have to pay to land on Farnes unless you belong to National Trust. Any questions?
  14. Im gonna contact the National Trust to ensure the puffins are breeding as last 2 years its been a little too early.
  15. Hi. Just wanted to revisit the site to confirm who is interested. Anyone wanting to meet up on 13 June at Seahouses, can you visit www.farne-islands.com to see which boat trip you prefer then either pm me or post here, by 7 June your preference. I can then post final meet up information. I'm going regardless so if the meet doesn't happen there's nothing lost. Cheers and look forward to hearing from you all.
  16. I love the repetitive motion blur from the propellers. Panning, my nemesis.
  17. That's it in a nutshell Clicker.
  18. Honestly I'm overwhelmed and embarrassed I didn't know the cost. I would NEVER have taken it had I realised. I feel terrible now.
  19. I set off today to my local WWT with camera and 150 - 500m lens. When I got there I realised I had no memory card in camera or a spare. I still went to the hide just to observe and got talking to a total stranger. He heard my strife and gave me a brand new card still in packet and wouldn't leave his address for me to return it. When I got home I looked it up to see what I owed him if I ever saw him again. It was a sandisk extreme 64gb.......cheapest I can find is over £30!!!!!!! If I had realised the price there's NO WAY I would have took it. I can't believe his kindness and generosity. Wow what a lovely guy. I hope I see him again to give it back. Thank you so much, who ever you are. I'm humbled.
  20. thanks. Have already done natural backlighting with it but wanted to learn more about studio lighting and lighting effects.
  21. Im guessing that to be the case Chris. No worries, I just have no idea where to start.
  22. No one else is replying either, Im surprised as I always get responses :-(
