  1. How much would you pay for a photobook? Just trying to work out if it's worth doing
  2. Amazing birds aren't they. Leon you'd be surprised how far a good flash with light. my big flash will light nearly 60 yards in low light on full power

    Well done great image
  4. Hi Bill, firstly welcome back as I understand you have been absent for a short while, I'm obviously flattered to have my name mentioned and I hope I can live up to such high expectations. I'm currently at work at the moment but I understand from Fuji that I should pm you a few examples of my work for you to maybe critique and advise on if that's ok?
  5. If your camera has live view use it, pop it on evaluate metering so it takes an average from the whole frame, you'll want manual focusing and focus approx 1 third in to the frame at f 11 to give you near hyper focal focusing iso as low as you can then pop it in to live view and tweak the shutter speed until your happy then take the shot. Use a cable release so you minimise shake and cover the eye piece to stop ambient light entering the body which can throw the metering off

  7. Hi and welcome, nice pics to start with. Keep them coming :)
  8. Best of luck I have no doubt you will do everything you can to succeed :)
  9. Your welcome lol welcome to the skint club
  10. Lol I just meant the Egret is a common sight at this location. I was hoping for a shot at one of the kingfishers but no luck unfortunately
  11. Only managed to get out for an hour yesterday to test the lens, fantastic piece of kit, unfortunately the light was awful and there was nothing of any real interest to photograph but I managed a few test shots
  12. It's the IS model only mk1 though, I couldn't afford the mk2
  13. It had better be for the price lol its a one off purchase though, it should never need replacing fingers crossed
  14. Sorry mate I misunderstood, I've always thought of mirror lenses as a zoom type lens
  15. There are times where I see images from "pro's" and people say how wonderful they are and I think "really?" But at the end of the day it's the public that make or break a photographer and if the general consensus is that it's a good image then who am I to argue
  16. Already looking at insurance as I saved £150 On the price so looking to put that towards it
  17. No mate its a prime lens It's the canon 600mm f4 is prime
  18. It will be my last purchase for a while, I'm very excited but also sweating a bit lol I've just bought a Canon 600mm f4 is prime. It was a lot of money but I'm seeing it as an investment it should last a lifetime fingers crossed. I'm now ready to take wildlife photography seriously
  19. Normally dust in the lens won't cause issues because it's too close to focus on, I would take the lens off and hold the camera up to the light and look through the view finder just in case but if not then a replacement is cheap enough
  20. great image Martyn, well done
