    Wonders why

I could never have done dark room stuff...OMG I had a pentax SLR many moons ago and sold it because I could not grasp what the hell I was supposed to be doing, even though I joined a photography club to learn but in the end they beat me into the ground, so much so I never picked up a camera for about six years, none of them ever took me aside and said 'so you want to learn..ok we shall start here' I do like pp........and I don't think I could do without it...............but only cause I could not achieve what Leon is striving for without pp...
  3. I'm not gonna look now on BR's say so!

    Wonders why

You are right Nanny, I always have to do some pp. Unless I am using the HS20 or 50 when out and about, then I do tend to stick it the exr mode, I don't think I have ever used the 'Auto' mode though. if I am doing macro or people I always use manual. The canon is always on manual or AV and mostly on RAW, but I don't use the canon for macro. I am probably doing it all very wrong and probably need to do what Leon is doing and explore the setting far more..
  5. Are there any snails, I shall not watch if there are snails or slugs..!

    Wonders why

Of course I admire Leon in his choice to not pp....and I don't think I should have used the word 'wrong', I should have been asking why he chooses not to. Leon has never said pp is wrong. We are told that RAW is the best way to shoot, but that straight away that means a little or a lot of pp for me. I understand Leon's choice now, what he is saying is he should be able to get it correct at the point of taking the shot by understanding his camera and the choice of settings he uses.

    Wonders why

Why does me old mucker Mr Wall thinks PP is somehow so wrongy. No one take a pic so wonderfully correct 'In camera'....or do they?
  8. It has been obliterated..................what ever it was and where ever it came from....
  9. Yep bugs....gonna do a full scan today...just baffled as to where it came from and it was only happening here on TIPF...
  10. Found it....sneaky little thing. Lord knows where it came from as I have not downloaded or looked at any photo/camera sites, but I had to uninstall it from the computer.
  11. Is anyone else getting this annoying white tool bar thing on the left when they are on TIPF, or is it only me? It's doing my head in. I have been all through my settings and have only google as a search engine, pop ups are blocked etc. Help!
  12. Wow, what a wonderful week for pictures...lots of beautiful landscapes, macro, nature people and even transport, and some amazing editing too. I was however so impressed with Leon and his new venture into street photography. Stepping right out of his comfort zone and producing really good shots, with a bit of PP to, smashing work Leon...more please! This is my choice for POTW, chosen from Leons lovely mono set. I don't know if the little man makes the door look huge or if it's the other way round. I think Leon you have found another feather to stick in your cap...
