  1. The Photoshop hdr does the job but does not let you do much 'imput', pretty much what you see is what you get ( or was on earlier editions of CS) I find Photomatix Pro and Luminance HDR very adaptable with various settings and styles and will let you adjust the light smoothing aspect (should you wish too). If you are looking for 'free' software FDR Basic is useful - http://www.fdrtools.com/downloads_e.php
  2. An excellent choice for POTW, I missed the original post (not had much TIPF time this week) but I'm glad it made the cut - it is a stunner and very well taken

    top dollar!

cheers Heather - the photo was shot near El Cotillo/Fuerteventura and is the sea off Step Beach and I can never make up my mind if to crop the orange 'sand' off the bottom of the picture.

    top dollar!

you couldn't point the buyer this way could you? I would be happy to sell him this for a mere $1 million

    POTW 14/10/2012

Thank you Richard and All once again thank you all and my apologies to those who have submitted some wonderful photographs (as per usual) I'm not sure the photograph deserves the POTW title but I will accept the 'title' on behalf of the RNLI for the help, understanding and time they gave to our family to enable us to lay our father to rest at a place he chose ...and I'm sure he would be a little chuffed about the POTW too!
  6. Fuji make sure you are using the Polygonal Lasso tool and adjust the edge feather to 1 or 2 pixels ( if you are not sure where/how I could post a screen shot later tonight as I'm about to go out for the rest of the day).

    DE-stress!

why not use the day to go out and take some pictures for yourself, and tell her "sorry but no" next time they ask :-)
  8. great shot, can I ask if the colours are natural or have you used a filter? I'm also wondering if each potw winner should be encouraged to give details on their picture such as processing etc which might help others to try something similar?
