It has to be spectators fault and the fault of the organizers for not forcing spectators to not stand in dumb places. I know this from experience. When the officials say do not stand there, it is for a reason. Do NOT stand on bends, hairpins, in fact anywhere that you are not behind a large tree or six foot thick wall. I have been shooting sports events for many many many years and I have learnt to think about where is safest, always keep BOTH eyes open when shooting yes it is possible if not essential, one through the viewfinder the other on the course, Remember I was standing where the white X was and that is me on the steps, had that been a car travelling twice the speed or heavier................................. I am just waiting on the inevitable deaths on the IOM TT
-
No. I said its only 1.5 hours from you "It's further FROM Devon"
-
How can 1.5 hours be long I travel all over, its further from Devon

WANT TO KNOW ALL ABOUT LENSES?
jeremy rundle replied to FUJI's topic in Equipment and Settings Advice
What I meant, sorry, poor explanation from me, is that I expected info/images/talks on lenses from across the range, say 6-18mm, 12-24, 28-135, 120-400 and so on. The way he tapped a quality lens on the rostrum on the base as he talked gave me no confidence in his ability to look after what may be a lens from "stock" -
What annoys me is that the media attemp to blame it on "this elderly......." or that "old" person. Come on public, most of the "elderly/old" lived through the 70/80s and you have been told NOT to believe this rubbish for as long as I can remember and I am not 20. I agree Fuji, but I will go further, if after being told since the 60s to cancel the milk when you go away, and the newspapers, and NOW don't tell people on facebook when you are going on holiday, and you are burgled/conned/scammed, GOOD serve you right

WANT TO KNOW ALL ABOUT LENSES?

Hmmmmm Not very informative -
Do people STILL fall for this C***, I am getting more and more, On the TV today was a chap who at 70+ was conned out of £80,000 by a woman posing as a lonely hearts woman, she took him for TWO cars as well, are people really this dumb Dear PayPal Customer, You have an incoming payment from a member of Craiglist slated for your account regarding your item. I have never shot RAW, well ok, tried it, of no use to me, 100 JPGS continuous would also never be used so a good card makes all the difference. Get a sandisk extreme pro and believe me you will be amazed I will be getting a few of these http://www.sandisk.co.uk/about-sandisk/press-room/press-releases/2014/sandisk-announces-world%E2%80%99s-fastest-sd-card/ About £55 each
-
But when you are shooting JPEG as most people do, in sports, the card IS the important component as shown, I know of no one shooting sports who shoots RAW
-
People often moan about the buffer capacity and yet are using rubbish cards No one comment on the fact that this is not a "scientific" experiment, no it is REAL life. Simple test D7100 tripod, pc and a stopwatch, release shutter at the same time as clicking start, just 2 cards tested, Sandisk 95mbs Extreme pro and a good standard class 10 Sandisk Ultra. See the number of recorded shots for yourself. Don't tell me the D7100 buffer is small
-
"Iam looking for a card like this,.. have you got any idea what speed yours is? I find more than one speeds" 95 mbs
-
Don't shoot RAW for sports andI have yet to find anyone who shoots sports where I do on the P1 circuit who does, or cars
-
I use sandisk extreme pro cards and have as yet not found a problem with the buffer of the D7100, except on rare occasions I prefer the better weather sealing on the D7100 over the two D7000s I also have So it will either be the D300s replacements in September or I will get a 1Dx
-
No but it does have many more MP allowing for much better cropping
