  1. Why a Df, all I see is an over priced collectors item. I have a fairly large wallet for purchases there for my photo business but I will wait till they are available at a realistic price pre owned.
  2. Why can I not "paste" text to the forum and have to type it in every time !
  3. http://www.p1superstock.co.uk Race dates for photographers Check under races great shooting
  4. I'm hoping to get a D4, Siggy 120-300 f2.8, D610 and a few other items at a better than shop price
  5. My images are ok to edit

  6. What about the website you are building, ipage is free for 6 pages and superb, I pay an additional £140 for a lot more add ons and will not change
  7. I would not waste my money. I use these http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/YONGNUO-MR-58-LED-Macro-Close-Up-Ring-Light-Flash-For-Canon-Nikon-/160900756564?pt=UK_Photography_StudioEquipment_RL&hash=item25766eb454 LOOK HERE http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2VYYLlncWn8 They are all similar and many types on Ebay
  8. The more they add to phones the less I want one. When I go out my phone stays in the car, who on earth wants their day spoilt by countless texts etc. When I go away, no tv, no computer, just me, my sons, and the outdoors.
  9. Let me know if yu are ever this way
  10. Where are you in Devon, I assume Devon UK. JR Tavistock
  11. I laugh when I see people drop their phones on the pavement out of a case, can't wait to see the results now
  12. THIS is the site I used http://121clicks.com/articlesreviews/25-most-popular-photography-free-e-books Just google FREE PDF photography books Can everyone who finds some please then list them here for others to download, thanks to DaveW for starting it
  13. I came across similar ages ago, free photo books and wondered why people bought books, thanks for reminding me, I think everyone should nore this.
  14. I wanted a set of decent background stands but not cheap ebay ones, and, not £120 interfit ones. I saw these on ebay for £59 including postage. http://phomax.co.uk/...t-system-1.html If anyone is looking for stands which not only support backgrounds but also flash heads these are superb. I was concerned about the cheap price, I need not have been. They are sprung internally, have strong locking legs not the easily broken clip type, they stand a good 8' and most importantly are steady at that height. In my opinion a value for money set of backdrop stands that I will be buying another set of without hesitation.
  15. Another use for the free backdrops is over a table undercloth for macro/close up
  16. Amazingly enough good timing. I am just about to get backdrops, and over the years I have bought the best of whatever I can/could afford. However,............... Now I have learnt that highest price does NOT mean better. My cheap Tesco kettles, toasters and vacuum cleaners have WAY outlasted the Morphy Richards and Swan and Hoovers. I got one of these. (a) For £22 what have you to lose, (B) it is held together with rivets, very handy as if it ever needs fixing a small bolt with a locknut will work, two free (probably poor) backdrops but more than suitable for other uses like macro/still life backdrops on a table. Finally for that price, suitable as a flashlighting stand.
  17. Most screens for projectors (I have them from my slide days) are VERY reflective for good reason so light will bounce back and kill the photo. Some are even micro stippled with tiny reflectors Stick with backgrounds. HOWEVER they make the best reflectors available better by far than collapsable hand held reflectors in a studeo
  18. Sorry to burst the bubble but you won't get a decent tripod for that new, and will be pushing it used also. Legs £100 head £50
  19. I agree GIMP IS a great package, but I never could get along with it. Download any trial for a month, elements 11 or 12
