  1. Les... There are no better tasting tomatoes than Sungold, over many years I have grown different varieties but I have now settled on Sungold, I usually pick the first one between 7th & 15th July. The seed of those in my photo were sown in the middle of March, the good thing about growing cherry tomatoes is they don't have grow so big and mature much quicker.

  2. Polly... I got the original plant when walking in Pembrokeshire years ago, I just dug a bit up using my swiss army knife as I had no other tools with me at the time. I had a plastic bag in my small rucksack so I put the plant in there with some damp moss as I wasn't going home for a couple more days. I planted it in the garden of my previous home and it survived and did well. When I moved to my present home I brought a bit with me, it soon spreads and I had to really reduce it last autumn and start again, what's left has just started flowering again.

  3. It's been ages since I picked up my camera and took some shots, so many health issues this year. I did manage a short walk near home a few days ago and took these images. At the moment I can't even imagine walking miles looking for butterflies like I used to.

  4. It's been a long time since I visited on the forum... I'm sorry!

I have been having bad health issues (not wishing to elaborate), lots of hospital appointments lately but I am slowly getting better now. I can't imagine ever being the man I was before but at 75 years old I guess I can't expect to be. I can't remember when I last went out with my camera but I will try again in a few weeks hopefully. I will try and post something soon even if it will be stuff from my files for a while.

    Cheers, John.

That is clear and bright ... you'll be pleased John ... I may have a look myself  with the 400mm  ... if it's clear ...

Polly... If you used your Panasonic FZ1000 set on iZoom it may increase the zoom from 400m to 800mm in 35mm terms. I'm not absolutely sure about this as I only know that using iZoom on my FZ2000 it increases zoom from 480mm to 960mm in 35mm terms. I leave my FZ2000 set on iZoom all the time. When taking the Jupiter shot I also used exposure compensation set at -2 with ISO set at 3200 and the mono setting and manual focus. A tripod and cable release must be used as well. I hope this helps!
