You must feel really chuffed that your hard work has resulted in it being such a permanent residence for this little soul .. How rewarding is that ?!!
My friend has seen four Hedgehogs in her garden all at the same time on several occasions, food is put in her three hedgehog houses for them every evening.

The Hedgehog house I made for my friend gets used regularly, this shot was taken by her using her phone early this morning.

Wood Whites are quite rare, I took these shots in June at a site about 10 miles from home... They seem to be doing well there!
They are not the best shots I've ever taken of Wood Whites but I had to take them as going out is not so easy these days due to my bad feet.

Polly... Speckled Wood butterflies are hardly ever seen out in the open in direct sunshine, they are almost always seen where the sun is coming through gaps in the overhead tree cover. Just before taking these shots I had been talking to a lady who was sitting on a bench, she asked me what I was hoping to photograph. I said there was a good place about 50 yards away where I usually see Speckled Woods, I carried on to the spot and I took these shots straightaway, I went back to her and showed her the shots... She was impressed...

Very nice John - sadly not seen many this year.
Paul.
I saw quite a lot of Small Whites this morning, I also saw a Comma, a Beautiful Demoiselle and a couple of dragonflies but they were all moving around too fast for me to get photos. As I've said before my mobility is not what it was even at the beginning of the year... but I'm still trying my best. I'm 76 in two weeks!

My mobility is not what it was so I spend more time at home these day, it's not so easy chasing butterflies to photograph now. I think my days of walking six or more miles looking for nature shots may be at an end... But I hope not!
Here are some garden shots, my garden is very small but it keeps me occupied.

It could be a Giant Woodwasp - Urocerus gigas... I'm not 100% sure though.

Good captures FUJI... especially No2.

I took my first ever photos of a Brown Hare this morning, it was so far away I had to use full zoom on my camera which is 960mm in 35mm terms. The shots are not so bad considering how far away it was.

This butterfly has some wing damage, maybe it's been attacked by a bird.
