  1. Thank you all for the comments and suggestions ive decided niether will go to print yet as much as i leke the composite for that dramatioc feel, it doesnt look real and ive tried several times with the original RAW file to improve the sky but cannot get any better with my limited skills in photoshopw. So im going to wait a while and try to get a better cloudy background with more cloud detail and see where i can go from there/ Thanks again for all the comments and advice
  2. Thank you, no ive not tried masking them its took me donkey’s years to find out how to replace the sky lol i dont use photoshop much only for sizing images for internet i do all my work in adobe camera raw, i find photoshop to complex for me
  3. Monkey

    Heat Haze

    Still a nice set Colin
  4. I fully agree Colin its not something i do a lot of i do like to present images as the camera saw them, Photographers usually see through composites and look deeper into images where general social media folk would go for the composite because of the sky. Ive got in the region of 10 terrabite HDD full of images spanniong way back and have in all this time only ever made a dozen or so composites.
  5. Thank you, That is exactly my view as well Hence why i asked. I think i will mull over it for a time and see
  6. can i ask you good people which do you think would look best on large print the original or the sky replacement from another Mamtor sunrise
  7. Lovely set, never been to RIAT but have visited the base on several occasions to see USAF strategic bombers
  8. Exactly i always think of them as Pterodactyl's
  9. Thank you Ryewolf i thought so, Jackdaws also have a silver /grey sheen to there head this one Jayne took same day
  10. I assumed it to be crow as it wasnt very big Ravens are quite big, there where a few jackdaws about as well and this was same size roughly as them but bit fatter
  11. Have to agree those Bing images just dont look real. seem to be missing something, reminds me of when CDs came out in the 80s good but something missing and still is compared to vinyl
  12. Thank you Fogey. I didnt even plan this i was on way to Jacobs ladder with my staffie for a days hiking and stopped off as daylight approached didnt even have my full frame camere this was on a 7D2 and 17-40mmf4L
  13. flying low up the River Trent taken on 7D2, I still use it now and again
  14. Taken from the top of MamTor some years ago image does not do justice to what i saw that morning
  15. dont think i will be around when that happens
  16. Had a gander around Wollaton Park last sunday 4th june managed quite a variation
  17. You probably got the better deal at Reedham lane. i was at the spotter carpark (hate that spot went there as met some friends there ) assumed the flying would be closer there than my usual at 25 end Still found i was a fair way off them and had to use a 1.4x extender
  18. Practice Display Authorization for pilots to be able to do their shows this year. It was a very hard day light wise and all these images have had sky replacement. Note the passenger jet wasnt part of the PDA but is a daily visitor
