I watch a lot of Sky Art programmes Paul.... a lot of excellent programmes often slip under the radar on this channel...
I totally agree, between sky art and Netflix there’s a lot of good photographic programs about.

Has anyone been watching Icon: music through the lens on sky art, it been very interesting finding out about the photographers and their famous images, and the back story’s of the musicians.

That’s a cracking image, well done.

Love the last one. Wells next the sea is like my second home, if not there somewhere on the north Norfolk coast.

Thank you very much I’m touched. As clicker said it was like the stars align, I just had a feeling there was few images if I could get down to the pier at the right time for the storm. The images I took with the storm over top just didn’t work for me, so I waited a while and got soaked as I was under the pier. The 10 minutes wait was worth it to get the storm clouds in a better position.
i think I’ll be getting this one printed out fairly big.- 1

I use to have a computer room but after spending to much time in there ( I use to build gaming rigs, plus using photoshop etc ) so as a compromise with the wife and having had enough of pc’s and laptops becoming powerful enough to run a Lightroom/ photoshop at a decent speed. I sold everything off and brought my first Mac book pro and not looked back. So these days I just use it sitting on the sofa with my feet up or like tonight while processing photos I use the coffee that I made a few weeks back.

Anyone know of a decent film developer that do batches of colour 35mm film, and not cost the earth. I’ve brought a kit to do my own black and white film myself, but some friends have just found 20 Rolls of colour C41 undeveloped film. I only need the film developing as I’ve got a good film scanner.

I’m sorry to hear things sound so dire Van ... it seems millions are in similar situations ... these are very trying times indeed . Are you self employed .?
No I work for a firm.

Realistically speaking, I think I’ll be ruined within two months. The wife’s about to loose her job in a local hotel, and I think my hours will be cut right back. I’ve just bunged loads of things on eBay for sale so hopefully that’ll help.

Well it’s different I’ll give you that. Interesting use of paint and perspective.

welcome back looks like we're getting a few aircraft spotters on here.

One for the people with Netflix. Tales by light is a program all about pro photographers, all using a different style or genre. I’ve only watched a few episodes, but I’ve found it fascinating so far.

You are my hero. I don't watch much tv and could happily do without it but I sit and listen from the other room at the rubbish the wife watches and sometimes I could put my foot through the TV it annoys me so much.
The previous partner lived for soaps and any reality tv like X factor or big brother, which I hate with a passion. I can’t be in the same room as the tv if depression street or depression square is on , I’m sure you can work out which two soaps i refer to
I ended up binned her because she wanted to work our life around her soaps meaning we couldn’t go out on certain days. Over one Christmas it kicked off and I’d had enough when the tv got damaged in a flood. You’d think the world had just ended with the fuss she made about not being able to watch her tv lol best Boxing Day in years watching her move out lol
When the wife to be first move in with me. I had a tv but only watched football, rallying and the odd film. And really could go most of the week without putting it on. I told her straight from day one about my hatred of soaps and bad tv. We compromised on a few things and she records her Australian soap rubbish watches them without me. Or I sit there with headphones on while I photo edit.
This photographer of the year program is ok and is about as close to reality tv as I can take. But I don’t find the standard of photography that high and considering the kit they get to use I’d expect better. We see better images on this forum most days.

So who’s watching Sky arts photographer of the year. I see this year they’re using canon instead of Leica kit.

Are you taking them from each mountain to the next ... from Ben Nevis to Scafell Pike and then on to Snowdon or taking them to Scotland and then picking them up in after the Snowdon climb ... I presume if you were contemplating going back to Cambridge then the latter case is true .. I can’t recommend anywhere for the first two peaks but Snowdonia National park has some fabulous places to photograph .. I used this website as a bit of a guide when I first started going to Snowdonia...

Have a great few days Van ...
Just dropping them in fort William on Friday, then picking them up on Sunday in Wales. I’m now staying over Saturday night in Crewe with family. Thanks for the link.

I’ve stuck to using just light room classic. As I didn’t see much difference between the 2, but I did find the newer one a pain to set as my images are still stored on a external hard drive.
