Intrigued about the clock/watch face you have been using for this project  Van... Nicely executed ... I hope it encourages  more people to use  Still Life as an alternative  genre to experiment with .

It’s just an old river island watch that I took apart. I was in isolation again and was bored stupid, I needed something to do 😂. But I think I might of just started a new project.

I thought I had commented on this. but looks like I saw it first on my iPhone  and somehow didn't get my comment posted ... That first imageIt is as Denis  says, very evocative and the caption certainly  highlights the darkness of the narrative... no pun  intended. To achieve the lighting on the  drips and the DOF   is no  mean feat ... superbly crafted  Sir ...

I see that  it has been awarded POTW by Hatter  and it is a very deserving winner .. top stuff Vanguard:goodjob:

After a long period of no inspiration and day to myself, I’ve no idea how many shots I took to get the look I was after. Thank you all again.

Beautiful light as you say .... it seems like one of those  moments rarely captured on camera where  you feel really privileged to witness it and  to have it permanently recorded to enable sharing it  is one of the real joys of photography ... l just love # 2 especially ...

It still amazes me every time I see it. Hopefully I won’t bore you all when I share them.

I use Freedar as it shows military aircraft , I have looked at ADS-B but not sure if that is civilian aircraft only Paul ?

It works with both, I mainly use it for military. Press one icon and you can have just the military aircraft. Also you can put on air refuelling area , AWACS orbits and air corridors over the Uk. F15’s and typhoons show up most of the time, occasionally you might see the odd F35 as well.

Well done Denis .... I know  how important these memorials are to people and you have been instrumental in  getting  recognition for fallen crews and  aircraft  that  have crashed overland .  The relatives especially  must be both grateful and proud of the work you and  others like you  have done to ensure these  brave souls are not forgotten ... Brilliant work my friend ...

Ps  what is the tracking software you  told Johntwo about ?

If you’re on about aircraft tracking software, I use https://globe.adsbexchange.com/# not that I know what Denis uses.

  6. That’s brilliant. I’ve been interested in aircraft and old airbases for years, I used to go on loads of old ww2 airbases in a previous job, as a lot of the farms I went on are built on them. Bernard Mathews turkeys  I believe bought up nearly all the the old airbases in Norfolk after the war. It’s nice to see so many people remembering theses old sites and theses tragedies.
