I quite like the cropped 19:9 version, it has a last light of the day feel to it.

Seriously ... thats a smashing set ... It's perfect weather / conditions for them isn't it ?
A bit of a slow start for fungi around my way but the fungi are certainly bursting out all over the place now.

Hi
-
I took this image at old Hunstanton while the sea was at low tide. And I would think there was probably only two other people stupid enough to be on the beach in a storm, Getting soaked was worth the shot.

You can understand why really ... Pilots would have been on standby I imagine with Ivan stalking our subs and shores as well as flexing his muscles on Ukraines borders ...I suppose it's a case of getting priorities in order ... shame though ... Where were the yanks flying out of with their aircraft?
The B1 cross the Atlantic on route to the party to do this flyby then on to wherever as they didn’t say. The f15’s and the f35 were out of RAF Lakenheath. These fly over my house multiple times most weekdays.

There were supposed to be two B-1b Lancers, apparently one turned back and only one of the downright ugly (and expensive) F-35's made it into the air as well Paul.
For the Yanks I thought it was a pretty low key affair considering the historic significance and I would have thought a couple of Mustangs and 'Sally B', the only airworthy Flying fortress in Europe, would have made the day a little better !
It started off with 3 B1’s and 2 F35’s A and B models , along with 6 F15’s. Apparently it got scaled back because of the Russians.

To mark the 80th Anniversary of the Americans forming the mighty 8th Air force and their ties to England. Aircraft went from the north Norfolk coast to RAF Marham, RAF Lakenheath, RAF Mildenhall and then on to Cambridge American Cemetery.
1 x B1B Lancer USAF from 34 Bomber Sqdn
2 x F-15 Strike Eagles (USAF 494th FS, 48th Fighter Wing)
1 x F-35B (RAF/RN, 207 Sqdn)- 2

Gosh you went to a lot of trouble there Van ... When you mentioned welding I imagined a ghostly blue light emanation from your abode .... which prompted me to think this might be considered a bloomin' bolt from the blue !! ...But I thought better of it .. There's a lot I like about it ... I think I may have considered a crisper definition of the glass at the stem part of the vase ... I like the concept and your impressive welding too ...
I’ve nice little workshop/ studio and to much spare time on my hands lol. I think your right about a more crisper version, the more I look at it the more I want to retake the image. I’m making more steel flowers in the next couple of weeks, I may of started yet another project

Lovely image and well deserved.

Me and the wife went around some local charity shops Saturday ,I picked up this little varse thinking it potential for a still life image. Following my stupidity expensive 20p varse I found a odd little chopping board which broke the bank as well lol. At home I really couldn’t think of anything I wanted to take an image of with these things. Stupid o’clock Sunday morning I can’t sleep but I do get some inspiration for image, 2am and I’m welding up a steel flower lol. If the neighbours look out of their window they would of seen me setting up my camera and lights. The joys of coming off night shifts, but at least I put the time to good use
