As a ex forklift engineer this image pains me, looks like the inner mast is getting worn interesting angle for a image.

Great shot Paul, and wow it's so flat compared to where I live unless I head to the coast (Blackpool, Southport or Formby) otherwise it's pretty much hills everywhere.
In the first image that slight crest counts as a hill in the fens and it’s still 2 metres below sea level lol

It's a great catch getting the detectorists Van and I really like the second image too .. I have only just found the Series The Detectorists at Christmas and am binge watching all the series on iplayer ...It's just brilliantly written and I love the characters ..
We love the Detectorists apart from the last Xmas special, I thought it was a bit of a let down. I think he’s run out of ideas, I can see why he was unsure about writing another series or special.

Out of interest Van, Would you consider showing us the 1st image before you distressed it ....? It looks like a well composed image in. it's own right so I would be interested in seeing it ....
I’m not in a position to up load the the untouched images, but here’s the first version I did that are stored on my iPad.

Oooh I love the 2nd image Van... It's very atmospheric and as Fogey says ... great balance and composition.. It's really effective ... I do love to see people using their photographs as a template sometimes for a creative extension of one's imagination... I have always been an avid fan of the extended use of manipulation in any form to realise an image in my mind that has been triggered by a something I have seen through the camera lens. There will be photographers who disagree fervently with my view and I respect that but to me it's how the final image affects my feelings that dictates how much I am moved by an image ... and it's not always necessarily the technical skill involved in capturing a perfectly exposed and balanced picture . Great to see the experimenting Van ...
Recently I’ve been thinking about creating photos with a dream like feel to them, the not so perfect or sharp image. These are the first images that I think have that quality, start of a new project I think.

Well that's different.
What's destressed when it's at home?
The first two are crackers, mainly because of the composition. 1, 2, 3, for me in that order.
Destressed fx is a iPad app that’s full of different filters ,they’re all sorts on there from painterly effects to different textures and backgrounds.

I use to run jap car forum years ago and we had the same issue with do we or don’t we have a Facebook group as well. As soon as people started using the Facebook group the forum started to die, basically it was easier and more convenient to use than the forum, but along came the idiots and trolls to cause trouble. When the forum came up for renewal we just folded it, and the Facebook group carried on. Personally I think the forum is better.

I’ve seen that camper up close, it’s a work of art. So many small touches of detail. Good set of images.
