Yes unfortunately impossible to work from home. Can't do anything about the situation it is what it is I'm just one of many minions in the chain and there are no doubt lots in the same boat.
I don't get the business side of things I just go to work and do my bit but it just made me angry tonight people are scared enough without that worry on top. I could rant more but I will save it for the boss in the morning if i don't calm down.
I only go to work to pay the bills, if I don't pay the bills I don't have to work for them. Is there some weird logic in that?
Maybe its time to check the three months of Lotto tickets that are shoved in my car glove box.

Well I'm going to rant..........
While I have been out and about at customers the last couple of days I have heard wonderful stories of companies helping people to work from home and offering support.
My Sister who has really bad asthma her boss insisted she worked from home and fetched home her entire work station and set it up for her.I got home tonight to an email from work saying reduced hours and salaries were being considered.......I have slogged my guts out for 20 years had no pay rise for the last 11 years and no time at all into a crisis its thanks for all your hard work...........PANIC!
The cynical conspiracist in me thinks this situation maybe being used as an excuse. This Jack Daniels don't taste so sweet tonight but no worry I will be back slogging my guts out in the morning.

Sundays slightly calmer offering is from american Country singer Cam. I was torn which song go with but went with her new song.
I was fortunate to catch her live in September last year before she stopped touring as she was 6 months pregnant and this video was shot while she was 8 months.Once you have watched this video also check out her song "Diane" which is the response from the perspective of "Jolene" (The Dolly Song)

I can't believe i have never actually posted in here considering I love music and If I had my way in our house (which I don't) we would get rid of the TV and have the radio or music playing constantly.
So I'm going to make it my mission to put something in this thread every Saturday & Sunday. I do have a wide taste in a variety of music but currently my go to is Country Music (the modern more commercial stuff or Blues.)
My mate came across from Ireland last week just to see a singer he has been wanting to see for ages so I tagged along. He was gutted while waiting to go into the venue we were chatting and completely failed to notice the fact the singer was actually stood at the side of us in the queue as she was trying to get in the stage door.
So my first offering is Samantha Fish (I know, I know I said who? when he told me who we were going to see)
I love one of the quotes on YouTube "She looks like an angel & plays guitar like the Devil. One of the guitars she plays on this song is a Cigar Box Guitar.- 4

My pick for POTW and this week its two for the price of one with a really impressive bit of photoshopping I would not have know if it was not for the explanation.
So my choice is the fantastic Studying in the cloisters shot submitted by Bill.
The light from the windows give such a wonderful warm feel to the shot the windows show excellent detail as does the ceiling and double leading lines going left and right for me works a treat.Congratulations Bill

My first pick of 2020 and towards the middle of the week it was looking slim pickings but a late surge has seen some fantastic images for me to choose from this week.
A couple of honorable mentions go to Stravinsky for his wonderful Birmingham night shots and a pair of twiddlers in johntwo & Korky some fine processing work gents. But this weeks POTW and congratulations goes to FUJI for his Mono Mutt. A fine capture of a wonderful creature, I'm a sucker for a dog picture. But you have captured some fine detail in a black dog which is not an easy thing to do.

A really nice set of images, they show no signs of holiday snaps that,s a great set documenting your trip.
And I particularly love the 4th shot of the opera house a view I have never seen before.......but I am now going to spoil it........
It great to see Lou and Andy from Little Britain still getting out and about.

Hopefully not to spoil any up coming pictures but to help out. I'm surprised no one has gone with the shortened word of the season which is what i thought David's picture was going to be.
The other ideas I had which I had thought of was various models of car start with X, as does a bulb within the headlights of certain cars.- 1

Thanks Polly. Its nice to be back in the winners circle rather than doing the choosing.
I have not a clue what Cheryl's picture is? Geoffs however is another of his wonderful ICM.
Mine is the underside of the black plastic (i know i know........boo! black plastic) packaging from a biscuit selection box . And yes they were chocolate and yes I was responsible for it being an empty box.- 2

My turn again to pick POTW and this is by no means taking away from any of the other pictures posted this week but when the picture I have chosen was posted it was going to take some beating and no one did.
And despite me still being slightly vexed at this person for their picture in the A-Z Challenge for the letter U and ruining my week 26 Z photo. This weeks POTW goes to johntwo for his spectacular Rainbow Rider <<< Original post.
A wonderful action shot with such calmness to the water in the foreground the action in the spray created by the jet ski and its red single colour element all make for a wonderful shot but the added rainbow from the spary all come together to make it my POTW.- 2

Skulls make handy props, don’t they? You smoke cigars?
They certainly do.
As for the cigar that is actually part of the skull and is ceramic. The smoke is from a cigarette stuck behind with blutack (wife used to smoke but packed in years ago) I kept her last pack to use just for thing like this.

I don't buy tickets regularly I tend to buy when its a roll over and I'm in a different area...........Then I like to reduce my odds of being the winner by not looking & if a prize goes unclaimed for a small moment it could be me.......then I check the area of the unclaimed prize that's the point I normally know I'm not the winner. It's more fun than just checking the numbers and being disappointed straight away........playing it this way I get a few weeks of excitement out of my £2 before being a loser.
