  1. Thanks for the response, makes sense to go for that option by the sounds of it. The only thing is, I'm a little confused what you mean by tubes?
  2. Here is my entry, taken today (26/06/2015) I took your wording of "thinking caps on" quite literally lol
  3. Also, out of curiousity... does anyone know if those 'macro' caps even work? Similar to this
  4. So I'm lucky enough to have around £200 soon for some new camera kit. My bag at present consists of: Nikon D5200 18-55 kit lense 55-200 telephoto 35mm f1.8 prime IR remote I'm thinking of either a speedlight (the Nikon SB 700) or a macro lense, now this is where I am stuck. I have never used macro before so have no idea what to look for. Would anyone have any recommendations on a macro lense (compatible with my camera) for under £200?
  5. I'm really liking it so far! I signed up to three forums and this is the only one I have been back to
  6. Sorry about the watermark on this one, like I said.., still learning lol
  7. I would like your comments but I've reached my limit lol Thanks ChrisLumix, I just hope I can keep homing my skills and learning which I'm sure I can. FUJI I have a cat photo I can share and will do in this thread in a mo CanonChrissy, sorry for hijacking your other thread on heading out with a single lense
  8. One thing about inheriting things... More things to photograph!
  9. I inherited this shire, I was in Buckinghamshire until 6 weeks ago :)
  10. One of these, it's actually surprisingly comfortable too and encourages me to take the camera with me http://www.nest-style.com/nest-explorer-10-bag.html
  11. I sometimes head out with only my 35mm, like you I miss my other lenses (mainly my 55-200) but I do like not worrying about carrying that extra lense. I have a camera belt bag thing that holds the cera with lense attached, spare battery and not a lot else (it is water proof though)
  12. Count me in on the clothing one... Time to get my thinking cap on ;)
  13. I do like this idea, may have to enter the next one ;)
  14. I have to agree that you can get some pretty amazing photos without paying top premiums. As mentioned by Korky a phones camera is enough for some pretty fantastic photos!
  15. Hey everyone, I've spent a little time today trying to find a photography forum which is small and friendly and I hope this is it.... anyway, on with my introduction. Once upon a time in a land far far away..... My name is Dave Perkins and I got into photography taking pictures of my Siberian Husky, Kodi. I live in Northamptonshire and as everyone else, I'm always learning. I'm going to explore the forum a little and you should see some of my pictures and posts popping up soon! These are a couple of the pictures, taken on my phone of Kodi, that really made me decide to invest in a DSLR (Nikon D5200 was the choice) I fell I have developed my skills since then and now use a lot less vignetting lol. Here are a couple of my more recent pictures
