I have an Epson R2000, love it, perfect printing, but it does help to download the paper profile and install them in LR and PS. Epson in Australia will often have great cashback deals .

nice collection Jeff, seems that photography as a hobby has as many loners as socialites. Might make for an interesting topic of discussion.
Oh and a birthday next month, ... that's a nice round number

that's a very impressive CV WereBo

I actually have an image this week, but I'm waiting to get home and use a familiar computer to process and upload.
-
still struggling to get an image, on the way home now but still have very limited Wifi .Will be on the beach early tomorrow - fingers crossed that the shine will shine.

OK, an interesting topic. Have been off line with poor wifi so nice to visit and see what the current challenge is. I'm at the annual Australian Photographic Society convention (starts tomorrow) and we have a couple of workshops coming so will keep this topic in mind. Tomorrow's workshop is on street photography so might be able to clinch something.

trained all the local cicadas to hum romantic tunes about love under the Southern Cross'. Yes indeed I loved him until......
(P.S. yes you are all very sick puppies, or enjoying a smoko or 2)

OK, what does your better half think about your photography?
- Silently tolerant
- Actively intolerant
- Enthusiastically supportive
- Humourously mocking
- Awesomely gobsmacked.
Share your story, and how you overcome these obstacles...........
so, my story....
DH (Dear Husband) was passively supportive, patiently waiting in the car while is grovelled in the dirt for THAT shot.
Then I decided to purchase a second hand camera JUST for him (a 400 D just like mine). Shortly after I 'upgraded' to a Canon 7D, and then won a 650D in a magazine competition for entering in a survey. So now he is a happy chappy, and I am actively inpatient, as he is the champion chimper and seems to take ....forever....
Having said that he is a fabulous photographer, has a great eye but suffers a little in the post processing department. Funny enough, there is very little competition between us, and he has had some fantastic results at club and at our local show.(that's when I have assisted with the post production stuff)
So my advice is, purchase your DH a camera.....

THIS STORY HAS NOW ENDED.
I have enjoyed your bizarre imaginations and now I have an insight into the people who lurk here
Firstly we need to tell Phil that we really do love him and this was all just a bundle of fun.
Secondly, ..... await the never ending story #2 - it might just be yours!

its far to early to even think about Christmas, but when it comes closer, I actually do a lot of 'home - made'. Last year I made lots of cards and bundled them up for friends as a 'gift that keeps on giving'. I'll do that again, and maybe some foodie things, home made cream cheese, truffles that sort of thing. But again, ITS TOO EARLY

I'm sorry I didn't get an entry in this week. I'm on the road with limited access to WiFi.

Korky was a cat in The Dandy - the best children's comic on the planet. Ever!
I have cat like tendencies in that I like to eat sardines from a small dish on the kitchen floor.
Korky
far too much information.

Me too. Only you won't have anything from me since we are heading into spring!!!

Mine is not a photo hit list. Rather to nail using lightroom. As for the kingfisher.... we actually hand feed a bunch of kookaburras- funny little fellows and very photogenic
-
I also prefer a 'real' book but I refuse to buy them and just hassle our local library. I only use the kobo on holidays - easy to read in a tent curled up in a sleeping bag. I usually just buy a couple of books that I know I will enjoy. I agree, there is a place for both e-readers and real books

Phil, a little short of cash after paying the tow truck man, decided to dig for the money under the pigeon loft. After 2 hours of digging he found....

I'm reading The Girl on the Train. Interesting

Mines boring and self explanatory......I'm christine and I use a Canon. Was DigiDiva on other forums cos I'm a diva who loves her digital camera but wanted to leave that name behind and start afresh on here.
-
Oh, USERname? Ah, I get it now.
Mine is self-explanatory, though this is actually the third forum I've used it on. One of the others is massive (commercial) and the other was very small and is now defunct.
Yes Chris FORUMname

I came across my name in The golden Bough by Sir James Frazer many years ago. The wolf or dog is often the embodiement of the spirit of the field in harvest customs and is caught or killed in the last sheaf. The reaper of the last sheaf of Rye is called the Rye Wolf - hence my name.
that's quite regal Ryewolf, and very impressive
So I won't answer then, Phoenix
There was me thinking you'd decided on your name because of some personal rise from the ashes and it's from Harry Potter!
Re my name - Not from the bible but from a woman's mag!. My Mum had read a story in Woman's Weekly where the heroine was called Judith so that what I was named. However, many of the family and friends called me Judy, Mum tried to persuade them but ...
Sorry to disappoint you Judy, but I could come up with a rise from the ashes story - leave it to me! (sad but true, I am a HP fan)

What is the secret behind your forum name?
OK, if you are Phil, and your forum name is Phil, then you don't need to answer, but if it's not.. then share how you came about being called what you are.
So my forum name is Phoenix. If there are any Harry Potter fans out there, you will remember that Dumbledore had a phoenix names Fawkes. Well FAWKES is my surname......
