I love to see same view spread over different times ... I think we ought to have a kind of timelapse board where we start a thread with a view of something and add to it at intervals showing how different the same view can look depending on the light , time of day, time of the year .. It does look cold Monkey .... Brrrr!

You did something similar once before in daylight as I recall Strav , a few years ago didn't you ? The canal / tunnel looks familiar. I agree with Rye about that first image but my fave is that fabulous building in the last image in the set ... Having said that, the 3rd pic, of the tunnel, is beautifully exposed and composed in the low light .. AND on reflection may just pip it at the post for me ..

Oh dear Fooj ... that could have been so much worse ... Might I suggest you get homeopathic Arnica Pillules at 30 x dilution strength and or arnica balm as a homeopathic remedy that stops bruising and sprain and muscle damage without any side effects ... I have used both for years in situations when I have fallen down stairs , trapped fingers in car doors , etc and found it really effective . Obviously I would always add the caveat to check with your Doctor first which is what I did 40 years ago when I first was introduced to homeopathy by a friend. Pleased to hear you didn't. break any bones though ... that 's a blessing at least ... Good to see you here ... Rose-hips are plentiful everywhere this year aren't they ?

Gorgeous light ... iPhone cameras are improving all the time ... But it still needs a GOOD PHOTOGRAPHER to get a really good capture like this... nice one Monkey ...

Aren't trees just beautiful when allowed to grow unencumbered with ample space to grow into the shape they naturally want to be ...Nature has the best colour co ordination sense hasn't she ?

Lovely atmospheric images showing the very essence of a bygone era Rye ... Always feel like I can smell that sooty steam and hear the hiss and belch from these metal monsters when I look at these pics .

Wow ...Love that first pic Kerry ... what an iconic aircraft! I saw one flying over the Shropshire hills and managed to catch it on camera for about a minute whilst out walking a few years ago . Awesome sight .
What a size those hangars are too ... the car adds great perspective in that final image .

This week I have chosen Fogey's comical capture " Who's that knocking...?" with a delightful red squirrel looking to see what the noise was all about while the culprit Nuthatch seemed to be hiding just around the corner ... Reminded me of the days when kids rang doorbells then legged it before someone answered the door !! In a week where I appreciated a lighthearted moment , it was a bit of a tonic and made me smile . Congratulations Fogey ! Love the narrative ...

What one might call a green and pleasant land .... Lovely contrasts with those dark clouds but light still streaming through .... You can tell we have had a wet summer can't you ... all looks very lush and verdant!
