Had a mini cooper in the early seventies

To be honest they arnt a patch on modern cars unless you wish to spend every weekend fettling

Water was a problem the under carpets were always wet in rain and if you sealed the drain holes in the floor it became a paddling pool

The distributer wore a marigold to keep it dry

The sub frames were prone to rust serious rust as were  the A panels and the windscreen scuttle

But for fun they were great

i remember driving from Bristol to Redcar one night, Snowing like mad a headlight  blew and the windscreen wiper stopped working so i worked it with 2 pieces of string lol.
