A walk across the River Saône. On top of the hill you can see the Basilica and also the Metal Tower, a replica of the top section of the Eiffel Tower. I can't say the light was particularly great on this trip to Lyon, but you have to make do with what is gifted on the day.

Excellent, almost HDR processing. I particularly like the way you've got the bridge crossers dead centre.

 

Thanks Chris. Lyon has such colourful buildings. This one is just a single exposure. No use of Photomatix etc for this one either. I do use such software but more often than not these days I steer clear of tone map software. These days I never tone map single exposures and just revert to multiple exposures / HDR processes when I definitely need a dynamic range that exceeds what the camera will deliver.
