Thanks Guys.

Those are good shots. The "as I was bored" was totally unnecessary. How do you think it makes other people feel?

Chris as I have been virtually housebound for the last month or two due to health problems and cannot do the walks I like to do to do the kind of photography I like then yes I am bored and turn to photographing the garden birds because it's all I can do at the moment, but I'm sorry if the term I'm bored upset you.

Sorry, you caught me in a more irritable mood than usual (just for the record, I am PERMANENTly more or less housebound, and am so frustrated that I cannot do the kind of photography I want to do either - landscapes and urban).

But I think someone like you ought to celebrate their undoubted talent, rather than imply (though I'm sure you didn't intend to) that you are able to "knock off these shots when bored / incapacitated" which makes ME feel like I am wasting my time as I - in the same situation as you - can't get shots like that.

You must keep your windows very clean.....?... :)

The Wife doesJH. :)

All good - and we must have the same window cleaner!

Thanks Colin, the wife does yours as well then. ;)

Cracki ng shot Paul. #1 for me.

Thank you Terry.

No problem Chris and I shall choose my words more carefully next time and I can sympathize with your frustration.

Not sure about the talent Chris at least as far as birds go, my feeders are 10 feet away from the window and the 75-300 mm on mft give me a focal length of 600mm and with the remarkable 5 axis image stabalization and ISO performance of the E-M5 it really is a matter of waiting till they land in the right place and point and shoot in aperture priority. :)

Unfortunately, my new mft is not an ILC so I'm limited to the equivalent of 75mm. However, if I want to shoot birds outside, I might go back to the FZ38 for those types of shot - tiny sensor but at least it gives me near 500m equivalent, or 1000mm if I sacrifice resolution and use EZ-Zoom (5MP pictures).
